FBC Fairfield is experiencing change and growth – and change can be hard! But we are trusting The Lord, stepping out in faith, and searching for a few new team members to join in the work here in Freestone County.
Located in a rural community approx. 1 hour south of Dallas (on the I45), we enjoy a low cost of living, highly rated schools, and a great quality of life. Our community navigated Covid well – continuing church services and keeping our children in school (providing online learning when appropriate).
We have a wonderful debt free campus with newly remodeled office, newer youth rooms and nursery wing. Our resident membership is in excess of 300, with our attendance averaging out at about 125-150 since the return from the pandemic. Our worship service music style would be considered blended (leaning toward contemporary).
For pastoral and staff positions, we prefer applicants who are willing to relocate to Fairfield and be part of the community here. Pastoral and Staff Opportunities Available:
Associate Pastor – Worship & Technology. Full-time preferred. Reports to Senior Pastor. Education/Experience: Degree preferred / 3 years leading worship preferred. Detailed job description is available via email upon request. We have a growing team of vocalist, instrumentalists, and technicians and recently implemented use of online Worship Tools for Planning, Music Stand, and presentation software, as well as backing & click tracks to aid in worship and rehearsals. This ministry is poised for growth and ready for a new leader. Our congregation prefers one who can lead vocally and instrumentally – guitar preferred. Other roles:
Technology – We are seeking a few volunteers who have the desire and ability to learn how to run the sound board and the streaming cameras. We have a great team now, who will help you learn but when this team is functioning best, we will have a full rotation of volunteers so that each individual will only needs to serve once or twice a month.
Musicians – various instruments. Volunteer Reports to worship team leader. Guitar, Percussion, Keyboards, others considered. “Still learning” is OK! Sunday services + practice.
Children Ministry – various areas of service. Volunteer. Reports to Childrens Ministry Coordinator. From supervising the gym activities, to riding in the van, to teaching – there is something anyone can do! Sundays and Wednesdays.
Nursery and PDO Ministry – various areas of service. Both Volunteer & PT paid positions. Reports to Nursery/PDO Coordinator. Tuesday & Thursday during the school year for PDO. Wednesdays & Sundays for Nursery.
