Tom joined First Baptist in April 2025 as minister of worship. He is passionate about teaching and coaching at Fairfield Junior High. He is even more passionate about leading the local church to worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

The son of a minister, Tom grew up in a family of seven, moving around the country as his father served in various capacities. He began following Jesus at 9 and was called to ministry at 17 during youth camp. Tom met his wife, Kristy, while both were serving as missionaries in inner-city Houston. They later moved to Missouri, where he earned a Master's in Religious Education and a Master's in Church Music.

Tom and Kristy have five adult children and two incredible grandsons. He loves music, working with students, playing golf, traveling (especially on history-related trips) and hanging out with his grandsons.
